الملخص

This research aims to develop a system for converting concentrated solar thermal energy into electrical energy using a locally manufactured thermocouple. The cable is designed using iron and copper and is installed at the focus of a parabolic dish that concentrates solar radiation to raise the temperature at a specific point. The conversion mechanism is based on the Seebeck effect, which allows for the generation of an electrical potential difference as a result of the temperature difference between the ends of two conductors. Despite the low efficiency resulting from the use of conventional materials, the presented model represents a first step towards developing low-cost systems for electricity production in environments with high solar radiation. The research highlights the design aspects, thermal properties of components, and technical challenges related to conversion efficiency. It also discusses future possibilities for improving performance by selecting advanced thermal materials or improving thermal insulation at the focus.
