Information For Authors

The Research Journal of Maaref University of Applied Sciences (RJMU) values ​​contributions from researchers, scholars, and academics in the fields of applied sciences, engineering, technology, mathematics, social sciences, and humanities. The Author Guidelines section provides detailed instructions for preparing and submitting manuscripts for consideration for publication in the journal.

1. Research Preparation:
Manuscripts must be prepared in English or Arabic and formatted according to the journal's guidelines. Authors are encouraged to use clear and concise language and adhere to academic writing standards. If the manuscript is submitted in a language other than English, the researcher is required to submit an English version of their manuscript.
Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. LaTeX format is also acceptable, provided the researcher adheres to the journal's formatting requirements.
Manuscripts must include a title page containing the title of the paper, the names of all authors and their respective institutions, contact information for the corresponding author (including email address), and any acknowledgments or funding sources.
Authors should ensure that their research adheres to an appropriate structure, including an abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions, and reference sections.
2. Research Format:
Size: Research should typically range from 5,000 to 8,000 words (15 to 25 pages), excluding references, tables, and figures. However, exceptions may be made for longer or shorter manuscripts based on the nature of the research and the journal's editorial discretion.
Font: Times New Roman, 12-point, with 1.5-point line spacing throughout. For research published in Arabic, use Simplified Arabic, size 13, with 1.5-point line spacing.
Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides of the page.
Headings: Use clear, hierarchical headings to organize research sections. Headings should be formatted consistently throughout the document.
Figures and Tables: All figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and accompanied by notes and annotations. The use of high-resolution images and graphics is encouraged, and authors should ensure that figures and tables are appropriately referenced within the text.
3. Abstract and Keywords:
Include an abstract and summary of no more than 250 words that summarize the purpose, methodology, results, and implications of the research.
Provide 5 to 8 keywords or phrases that accurately reflect the content and scope of the research. Keywords should facilitate indexing and enhance the discoverability of the research paper.
4. Citations and References:
The researcher is required to follow a consistent citation style throughout the research (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago). Ensure that all citations and references in the text are accurate and complete.
The researcher should provide a comprehensive list of references cited in the research, following the chosen citation style guidelines, and include relevant scholarly sources to support and discuss the research findings. 5. Ethical Considerations:
Authors are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards in their research and writing.
Authors clearly disclose any conflicts of interest or funding sources that may influence the research findings or interpretations.
Ensure that research involving humans or animals complies with ethical guidelines and obtains necessary approvals.
6. Submission Process:
Authors must submit their manuscripts online through the journal's submission portal, via email, or physically to the Editor-in-Chief's office. Detailed submission instructions and guidelines are available on the journal's website.
Authors must provide a cover letter outlining the significance and originality of the research and confirming that the research has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
Authors will receive a confirmation email upon successful submission of their manuscript, and subsequent communications regarding the submission status and editorial decisions will be provided via email.
7. Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts are subject to careful review by experts in the relevant field of study. The journal's peer review process is double-blind, with no identities or information about the reviewers revealed. It represents a neutral evaluation procedure that maintains the integrity of the review process.
Authors can expect constructive and timely feedback from reviewers, which should be appropriately addressed in reviews or responses to reviewers' comments.
The editorial decision, along with any requested revisions, if any, will be communicated to the author after the peer review process.
8. Copyright and Licensing:
Authors retain the copyright to their published work in the journal. However, by submitting their manuscript for publication, authors grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the work under a Creative Commons license or other appropriate licensing protocols.
Authors must ensure that they have the necessary permissions and rights to reproduce any copyrighted material (e.g., figures, tables, and excerpts) included in their manuscript. 9. Open Access Policy:
The journal adheres to an open access publishing policy, ensuring that research results are freely accessible to readers worldwide without barriers or subscription fees. Authors may be required to pay article processing charges (APCs) to support the publication of their work.
